The Gender: An unsorted tale

The unsorted and yet a differentiating factor of modern and developing India.
Gender: a huge matter of concern and significance. Right from when a girl child takes birth in this viscous, vandalized, vigorous and vise world. A women has to go through various hardships. She's responsible for status of her family, her clan and her own dignity. The participation of women is growing, she's nowhere behind, be it in defense, politics, adventure sports etc. In India, we have a very apt example of Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister, who led herself into politics and also in the leadership. Earlier, women were noticed as a secondary participant in every field. Thus, faced many atrocities in their work and living. It is said that women in a family is a driving force for everyone. Though this scenario is very rarely witnessed in the western nations but in India it is very rampant due to presence of the joint family system.

Thus, she deserves to be talked upon and demands prime focus. If we consider an Indian scenario in particular, it is easy to state that the gender is classified in two main subdivides i.e. Primary-Male and Secondary-Female. The gender equality has been a core challenge for deprived women and specially the women below poverty line. Here, the main concern is that the women in rural India are forced to follow the prescribed family norms which are a status symbol. The women who moves out to work faces hindrances to pursue her professional ambitions. If, this is efficiently approached and a much needed upliftment in this area is acutely executed she will me much more happy in her life. Some men feel that they know better than a women colleague and also men do not prefer a women bossing them.

The gender is just a nature’s call which is unpredictable, still we can see that some regions in India are having a soft corner towards a particular gender. For example, in south India families love, when a girl is born while in some northern parts of India a female child is neglected and a boy is given undue significance. People should realize that the gender is created just to maintain stability and a proper balance between the sexes but many women do revolt taking a firm stand against ill-treatment in any kind, but not every woman can withstand such a mindset. Women, today have to manage certain status centric issues like family status and her own image too. If a woman fails to maintain her self-status then she’s looked down by the society. Our society is all guarded and woven into religious cannons. This cannons are pointing back at the woman, as she is always conscious about her status.

If one considers men in the same notion one could easily come to a conclusion that men will fail to maintain this status symbol. But women strives much to maintain it. This gender bigotry should end and all should be treated equal.
